A Mission with Earthly Impact and Eternal Significance

Every year, Life’s Food donates a portion of profits to support Lasting Smiles, a dedicated organization working to uplift one of the poorest communities in Uganda.

We are Committed to Making a Difference Beyond Burgers and Fries

Founded in 2016 in Kyajja within the Mukono District of central Uganda, Lasting Smiles aims to share the love of Jesus Christ by supporting vulnerable children through essential services, including food security, education, healthcare, and protection. Since establishing their 501(c)(3) status in the United States in 2019 and receiving NGO certification in Uganda in 2021, Lasting Smiles has worked tirelessly across five key pillars:

  • Child Protection: Creating safe environments to shield children from kidnap, abuse, child labor, rape, violence, and defilement.

  • Health: Improving health services by establishing a Health Center in Kyajja and collaborating with health sector partners to enhance family health practices.

  • Agriculture: Developing a sustainable demonstration school farm to provide food for the school and train community members in best farming practices, promoting economic empowerment.

  • Discipleship: Bringing children and community members to the gospel of Jesus Christ, fostering both physical and spiritual transformation.

  • Education: Ensuring quality and inclusive education from nursery to secondary levels by encouraging enrollment and retention through parent and community engagement. LSU plans to expand its existing Pre-Primary and Primary School with the addition of a Secondary School and vocational training for high school-aged students.

By partnering with Lasting Smiles, Life's Food is proud to support these initiatives and contribute to lasting positive change in Kyajja. Together, we are nourishing lives and fostering hope for a brighter future here in the Southeastern United States and abroad.
